This marks the 11th year for the Houston Cougars Lacrosse Summer Tournament team!! This summer team will be a combination of lacrosse players currently attending middle school OR high school in Houston, both public and private schools. The Cougars program supports players from all areas of Houston (and Dallas, Austin and Louisiana!), regardless of where they play during the season. We will continue this summer with at least three Cougars teams:
Grade Graduation Year Cougars Middle School: Rising 6th graders – Rising 8th graders 2033 / 2032 / 2031 Cougars HS JV: Rising Freshman / Rising Sophomore 2030 / 2029 Cougars HS Varsity: Rising Junior / Rising Senior 2028 / 2027
Summer lacrosse is all about keeping sticks in our boys’ hands, continuing to play after the season is over and allowing them to gain valuable game experience outside the normal season. We want to expose our boys to different players from different teams as well as put them in lacrosse environments where they can continue to grow as young men as well as increase their skill levels. Playing games and continued lacrosse exposure is vital to our boys progressing and improving.

NOTE: Lodging, transportation and meal fees are not included in this and are the responsibility of each player.

Uniforms
For Cougars game uniform, we will only be issuing a game jersey and a shooter shirt, players can wear any pair of black shorts. A practice pinnie will also be handed out as part of the uniform kit. Cougars uniforms can be paid together with the player dues, link above.
All players MUST PURCHASE / HAVE:

- Any black shorts can be worn as game shorts
Polos, tshirts and caps are available for purchase by parents.
The Cougars summer team program is led by Program Director Coach Nick Ignatiev as well as Coach Cam Rose (Head Lacrosse Coach at Bellaire High School) along with an impressive group of assistant coaches, all with high school / college playing experience. All coaches are volunteers…volunteering their time to coach our boys. A finalized coaches list will be sent out prior to the season.
