This marks the 9th year for the Houston Cougars Lacrosse Summer Tournament team! This summer team will be a combination of lacrosse players currently attending middle school OR high school in Houston, both public and private schools. In addition to the Cougars high school teams, we expanded and fielded a middle school team. Last year we had a record 135 players from 15 different schools sign up (including Dallas and Austin) coached by (also a record) 17 volunteer coaches! We will continue this summer with four Cougars teams:
Grade Graduation Year Middle School: Rising 6th graders – Rising 8th graders 2031 / 2030 / 2029 High School: Rising Freshman 2028 High School: Rising Sophomore 2027 High School: Rising Junior / Rising Senior 2026 / 2025
Summer lacrosse is all about keeping sticks in our boys’ hands, continuing to play after the season is over and allowing them to gain valuable game experience outside the normal season. We want to expose our boys to different players from different teams as well as put them in lacrosse environments where they can continue to grow as young men as well as increase their skill levels. Playing games and continued lacrosse exposure is vital to our boys progressing.

Cost
$475 – Player dues (ALL players)
$61 – Cougars game uniform (reversible jersey, shooter shirt) – Last year’s uniform can be used again
$30 – Cougars practice pinnie (for new players or a replacement) – Last year’s pinnie can be used again
NOTE: Lodging, transportation and meal fees are not included in this and are the responsibility of each player.
Logistics and travel details will be sent out prior to each tournament, including carpool and hotel information.

Uniforms
We will use the same uniform design as last summer, a full uniform (game jersey, shooter, and practice pinnie) is required. New players must purchase a full uniform set, returning players can purchase replacement pieces. Cougars uniforms can be purchased online through Bryan Sports.
All players MUST PURCHASE / HAVE:
- Cougars Game jersey
- Cougars Shooter shirt
- Cougars Practice pinnie
- Any black shorts can be worn as game shorts
Polos, tshirts and caps are available for purchase by parents.
